idea behind eastern view is that you find what is suitable for your body. and understand its tendencies could be related to your sickness (if you have a sickness). Such as a diabetic will think sweet things are good for them (when they are not).
Eating one meal a day is considered healthy but you must build up to that rather than just jump right into it.
same as vegeterian is considered healthy, but if you are weak and are anemic, you must eat red meet (beef) in order to recover and build your body up again, and then slowly go to vegetarian. This is why humans are designed to be able to adopt to whatever comes and people are too busy arguing what diet works best, because none actually do!
